"Love's Fix"
A poem by: Joshua Garner
When a duct drips a tear
Hurt or happiness becomes something one feels
But when a gun shoots off and a killer is one's job; hate is what really kills!
When the sun comes up and the sky becomes lit
The moon waits on time and the clock just ticks
When something's out of place; like blood on a fist
Love takes its turn and heals with a fix!
When a heart breaks, an arm gets a twist
When a dog learns a new trick, a cat flips
Freedom is to be faught; to be taught the value in being free
Slavory is one who's caught; not free of captivity; held down, unable to leap
A thought unkept, unable to keep
A shortness of breath barely able to breath
Smoke is to calm the mind from heat; but only does it create more steam
When something's out of place; like blood on a fist
Love takes its turn and heals with a fix!
